Criminals broke into at least three shops in separate robbery incidents in Wau town in South Sudan’s Western Bahr al Ghazal state.
Multiple sources told Radio Tamazuj that a shop near Paris Restaurant was looted, besides another shop at Lakoloko area.
Another source said a shop was also looted at Hai Ingas. “The robbery is happening every day, we hear about it constantly. It has not yet been officially announced but we heard about what had happened,” a citizen said.
Meanwhile, head of the police patrol in Wau Col. Salah Issa announced on Saturday that a number of suspected criminals were arrested. He added two vehicles and were found in possession of the suspects, saying investigation is underway.
