Authorities in South Sudan’s Amadi State say that three people including two women and one man have gone missing since Saturday after a commercial truck they were traveling in was ambushed by armed men.
Amadi state information minister, John Obote told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday that the truck which was carrying the teak timbers and five people including the driver was ambushed in Kotobi area.
Obote said the driver and another man sustained injuries after being beaten by the attackers and are receiving treatment at Mundri Hospital.
The minister added that the attackers stole goods of unknown value.
