Three people killed in shelling of Kadugli

At least three residents of Kadugli in South Kordofan State were killed by shelling yesterday in the Al Qasadiya neighborhood. Others were reported injured but the number is not known.

The shelling came from outside of the town but no armed group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.

A witness told Radio Tamazuj yesterday that the town was attacked yesterday at about 3:30 p.m.  She said that one of the dead was called ‘Mujahid Mohamed Ali Clay’ while the other two she did not know by name. 

The witness added that the attack has created widespread panic inside the town and caused some to flee.

A second witness who is a soldier in the Sudan Armed Forces confirmed the number of dead at three, putting the number of shells that exploded in the town also at three.
