At least three people were reported killed and several others wounded when unknown gunmen opened fire on a car carrying passengers along the Juba-Nimule road on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, Jamal Al Zein, a survivor of the ambush, said unknown gunmen attacked their vehicle along the Juba-Nimule road on Sunday afternoon.

He pointed out that the incident resulted in the killing of at least two people including the driver on the spot and wounding of several others including a woman who later succumbed to her wounds.

The survivor noted that the passengers ran to the bush after the attack.
