An SPLA soldier was shot dead by his colleague at a social gathering organized in Magwi area in Imatong State last week, several local residents said.
Several eyewitnesses told Radio Tamazuj that the incident occurred following an arguement between the two SPLA soldiers over a girl.They pointed out that the SPLA forces came shortly after the accident and took the perpetrator together with the organizer of the event and his neighbour to an unkown location.
The local residents revealed that they found the bodies of the three men lying on the ground the folowing day with their throats slit.
“There was a party organized in the neighbourhood on Sunday, so the party continued untill 3:00 am. The SPLA soldiers came and arrested the owner of the house together with two others, one of them is called Taban,” said one of local residents.
“In the morning , their bodies were found dumped with thier throats slit,” he added.
Radio Tamazuj could not reach government officials in the area to comment on the matter.
