At least three people including a school teacher have been confirmed killed in Pochalla County on Saturday, according to sources from the county.

The victims were coming from Damballa to Pochalla when they ran into an ambush by gunmen. The Saturday killings brought the number of people killed in Pochalla County since last June to eight people.

Fighting in June started over food distribution leaving two dead and others injured. On 14 July, fighting intensified with 5 people dead and 15 others wounded.

Twelve people have been arrested in relation to the violence.
