Thousands of citizens continue to flee fighting in the Talodi area of South Kordofan towards Abu Jabeha and Kalogi further north in the state.

Sources said large numbers of people continue to arrive in Abu Jabeha searching for shelter and security.

They said many of the new arrivals are working for residents in the newly discovered gold mines.

Local authorities estimate 6,000 people have arrived in Abu Jabeha and Kalogi since fighting intensified.
