Thieves steal former governor’s car in Munuki, dump it in New Site

Thieves stole a former governor’s car which they later abandoned in the area of New State in the capital Juba on Sunday evening.

Eyewitnesses told Radio Tamazuj that the thieves picked the Nissan Patrol vehicle outside a house in Munuki where the former Northern Bahr al Ghazal governor Kuel guer Kuel had parked it on Sunday evening.

They pointed out that the incident occurred when Kuel Aguer Kuel went to attend a funeral in Munuki neighborhood.

When the former governor went for his vehicle after attending the funeral, he found his vehicle missing. It was then that a search was launched but the police found the car was locked and abandoned in New Site.

“I am pleased to inform you that my stolen vehicle has been found parked and locked in New Site,” Kuel Aguer Kuel said.

He pointed out that the vehicle was taken to the SPLA engineering unit in New Site for more investigation on Monday.
