Thieves broke into the premises of the secretariat of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Monday.
The criminals entered around 2:00 AM, according to a watchman speaking to Radio Bakhita. They ransacked a bookshop before looting a convenience store within the compound.
“They took everything. We had some money…now they took all, plus airtime,” said the woman who runs the store. The woman said the thieves also stole soda bottles, which they drank and left littered in the compound.
A sister who spoke on condition of anonymity said the staff had yet to fully determine how much property was stolen in the robbery.
