Health workers have launched a tetanus vaccination campaign in Abyei, the disputed area between Sudan and South Sudan.
The campaign targets 21,000 women and girls betwee 15 and 49 years of age, a local radio station reported.
Pregnant women are especially vulnerable to tetanus.
The World Health Organization (WHO), who is supporting the campaign, noted that vaccinations are harmless and pain-free.
