Modi Lomindi Ajuangico, the former information minister in Terekeka state, submitted his resignation on Monday, accusing the state governor of corruption

In a social media post and interview with Radio Tamazuj, Lomindi accused Governor Juma Ali Malou of corruption and nepotism.

Lomindi, who represents Terekeka north comprising Tombek and Moni in the state legislative assembly, said Gov Ali has disrespected the diversity of Terekeka state by appointing majority members of the cabinet ministers from his close relatives and neglecting other counties, which has created a power imbalance in the cabinet.

According to the resigned information Minister, Gov Ali has appointed his brother, Daniel Ali Malou, to the state parliament.

Other key positions filled by his relatives and associates from the same constituency, include the post of state security advisor, state economic advisor, the state minister of finance and secretary general of the state government.

Lomindi said the nepotism has denied other counties the opportunity for fair representation in the state administration because all the positions have been filled by relatives and associates of the governor from the same constituency at the expense of others.

Terekeka is comprised of Terekeka, Terekeka North, Gemeiza, Nyori, Tali, Gwor and Tijor.
