Divisions among politicians are delaying the construction of telecommunications network in Pochalla County of the Greater Pibor Administrative Area, according to a source from the area.
Politicians from the county are said to be behind the tension that resulted in fighting over food distribution last June. In more recent clashes on Tuesday an unconfirmed number of people were hurt.
“These politicians are busy with divisions among themselves causing tension among the residents of the county,” one resident from Pochalla complained.
MTN company has recently conducted an assessment in Pochalla County but it is not clear if they want to construct their network in the area, a source who returned from the assessment said.
Pochalla is relatively isolated from the rest of the country and it is accessible by air.
