TB outbreak causing panic in Al Jimam camp

An outbreak of tuberculosis (TB) is causing panic and fear among refugees from Blue Nile currently staying in Al Jimam camp, Upper Nile state, South Sudan. A number of refugees told Radio Tamazuj there are four cases of TB in the camp mainly among mothers and children saying the acute shortage of food is causing the disease to spread. Maria Abdel Aziz said her pregnant sister died from TB as the lack of food and medicine at the camp made her particularly vulnerable.
