A new health institute meant to build the capacity of local youth is to be built in South Sudan’s Tambura State.
The state information minister, Mathew Aime said the state cabinet reached the decision to establish the institute at a meeting held on Friday.
Aime said the principal of the institute has already been appointed.
“The already appointed principal is called Justin Binza. He is currently in Yambio working with stakeholders to find a way of establishing the institute as soon as possible,” he added.
According to the information minister, the proposed health institute will admit high school students who cannot pursue further education.
The official further said the institute will offer courses such as nursing, midwifery and clinical medicine, once it is established.
