The government-allied opposition faction in Juba said it has removed all illegal roadblocks that hinder humanitarian organizations along the Juba-Bentiu road.

SPLA-IO Military Spokesman Dickson Gatluak said in a statement on Tuesday that their forces in collaboration with government troops had been able to remove illegal checkpoints that hinder the delivery of aid to the conflict-affected people in Unity state.

Dickson reiterated the government’s commitment to allow humanitarian access in the area, adding removing all checkpoints will help aid agencies to move freely.
