Taban Deng appoints SPLM-IO youth leadership

The leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation in Opposition (SPLM-IO), Taban Deng Gai, has issued a decision appointing a 28-member youth wing.

The leader of the Sudan People’s Liberation in Opposition (SPLM-IO), Taban Deng Gai, has issued a decision appointing a 28-member youth wing.

Taban, who doubles as South Sudan’s First Vice President in the unity government, established the party’s youth leadership after appointing a similar number of members to the political bureau of his faction.

In an appointment letter dated March 26, 2017, Taban named Deng Gai Gatluak as the chairperson and Angok Arthur Akuien as the deputy.

The members include Hassan Suliman Samson, Laraka Machar Tutroal, Donga Gai Donga, Gege Morris Kenyi,Rebecca Nyakier Thor, Susan Peter Machar, Moses Ajang Akuien, Dut Abraham Bol Deng, William Peter Oyet and Onet Taban Paulino.

The SPLM-IO chairman also appointed other members which include Michael Nhial Miabel, Chop Tap Long, Nyabony Peter Gatkuoth Dhuor  Reath Badeng, Rita Thomas Ruai, Oliver Guadensio Yana, Emmanuel Edward Bakoyoga, Kenyi Wani  Buyu, Stephen Gore Galili, Anai Deng Dhieu, Veronica  Solomon Adwok, Kireto Kur Yor, Pech Major Ngor, Bol Peter Gony, Khamis Odeng Madison and Deng Lual Amoi.
