A 12 year-old boy is thought to have committed suicide in Bambasi camp for Blue Nile refugees in Ethiopia on Thursday morning, according to refugees.

Sources in the camp told Radio Tamazuj that the boy was found yesterday morning hanged on the ceiling of his room.

Police summoned the family of the deceased in order to look into the incident, which is the first of its kind in the refugee camp.

Radio Tamazuj has no further details about the incident.
