Aircrafts suspected to belong to the Sudanese government were seen flying over Raja County of Western Bahr al Ghazal of South Sudan last Thursday, according to a local official.

Raja County Commissioner Hassan Jalab told Radio Tamazuj Friday that they spotted the movement of Sudanese airplanes at Khor Shamam area in particular, which was bombed in early November resulting in the wounding of at least 16 people. ‫

The top county official said the people wounded in that attack are now recovering. However, Jalab expressed concern about the possible bombing by the Sudanese airplanes at any time.

Forces of the Sudanese rebel group JEM were present in the county at the time of the bombing.

Separately, the commissioner said they also raised a complaint to the national government in Juba about high prices of commodities in the county after imports from Sudan were halted.
