A man whose name has not yet been revealed was arrested in Jau main market with amount the money in notes of 100. He said he got the money from the black market money changers in Wau town and he was attempting to buy a motorbike with it.

A security official who declined to be identified by name said that they are now holding the man for investigation on how he got such money. The suspect is said to be an employee of World Vision working in Warrap State who claimed to have come to the black market with US dollars.

In August last year, state authorities detained four men – two Sudanese nationals, one Kenyan, and one Ethiopian – for using fake money in the market.
