A man suspected of attacking foreign traders in Wunrok on Sunday night has escaped from jail in Turalei police station.

The man was arrested at Wunrok Payam after beating his victims in an attempt to rob them of money.

Atem Thomas Koch, Wunrok Police investigator, said the suspect came at midnight to the residence of foreign traders and he started beating them. Among the victims one person was hurt badly in head and was taken to Wau for medical treatment.

Patrolling police caught the criminal and brought him to Turalei for detention.
