Sudanese warplanes on Wednesday around noon dropped several cluster bombs on Kauda town in South Kordofan injuring two people, according to a local source in the area.

The aerial bombardment comes just two days after the same two jet fighters bombed Kauda killing a 3 or 4 year old child and injuring his mother last Monday.

The warplanes also targeted a compound of El Obied Diocese, a church facility in the area, destroying windows and doors of the church facility.

The little girl who was killed and her mother who was injured were from the Sudanese Church of Christ, a source from Kauda said.

“As we talk now the warplanes are flying over the area causing a lot of panic among the population,” an eyewitness said. “It has been calm for some months, but the renewed aerial bombardment is causing fear among the people” a source said.
