Sudanese warplanes dropped bombs on Kauda in the Nuba Mountains today killing a 4-year old child and injuring the child’s mother.

Sudanese warplanes dropped bombs on Kauda in the Nuba Mountains today killing a 4-year old child and injuring the child’s mother.

According to a source in Kauda, two jet fighters dropped the bombs at around noon. Two of them fell near Kauda Peace Girls Secondary School. A child of four years old was killed and the mother was injured and three houses were burnt.

The same source said another two bombs were dropped inside a church compound shattering windows, doors and the roofs of houses.

Kauda town had been peaceful for many months and the bombings have brought a sense of fear back into the population, the resident said.
