Sudanese security operatives on Wednesday confiscated four Arabic daily newspapers without prior notification.
Al-Jareeda, Akhir Lahza, Al-Tayyar and Al-Watan newspapers were confiscated for the second time while the later was stopped from printing the Wednesday edition.
The Sudanese journalists’ network criticised the move saying it is a clear violation against the media in Sudan and demonstrates a campaign by government against media and press freedom in the country.
