Sudan’s state security prosecution said it has completed investigations into the case of human rights activist Mudawi Ibrahim who has been in detention since December last year.
The prosecutor filed charges against Mudawi under articles 66, 65, 64, 53, 51, 50, 21 of the 1991 Penal Code, saying he ordered to transfer the case to court. The activist is being accused of conducting espionage and intelligence activities in favour of foreigners.
In a press statement, the state security prosecutor, Babikir Abdullatif said they have already referred the case to the court.
Abdullatif pointed out that Ibrahim is accused of providing false allegations about chemical weapons, spying for foreign agencies and undermining the constitutional system.
