Sudanese refugee shot dead at Ajuong Thok camp

Unidentified assailants opened fire on Sudanese refugees at Ajuong Thok camp in South Sudan’s Ruweng State on Saturday, killing at least one refugee and two others survived the incident, a camp leader said.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj yesterday, Koditi Changalo Tutu, deputy camp manager, said three who hail from South Kordofan refugees were attacked by unknown gunmen after they went out to cut trees on Saturday.

The deputy camp manager pointed out that the victim was shot in the head and died on the spot. The camp leader complained about rampant insecurity at the camp.
