The black market rate for U.S. dollars in Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, fluctuated wildly over the weekend, with some traders reporting an exchange of 10.05 Sudanese pounds to the dollar. A dollar was previously selling for 9.5 pounds on the black market.

Several black market traders told Radio Tamazuj they predicted the price of dollars would continue to increase over the coming days.
