Sudanese students who are currently studying at South Sudan’s University of Juba are calling for peaceful coexistence between the two countries.
At a graduation ceremony of Sudanese students at the University of Juba, celebrating graduates told Radio Tamazuj that Sudan and South Sudan should live as good neighbors due to historical relations and common culture between the two peoples.
They called on the two governments to give people a chance to live in peace and harmony far away from political conflicts and mutual accusations between the two governments.
The Secretary-General of Wadi Hawar Students Union said they have been studying at the University of Juba since 2009 before South Sudan’s 2011 independence.
“We are being not affected by the fluctuating diplomatic relations between Sudan and South Sudan. I think the separation of South Sudan from Sudan was political,” he said.
