The Sudanese government is accused of carrying out aerial attacks on Monday around Kurshi and Umm Doreen localities, South Kordofan.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj from Kurshi on the same day, a priest named Matta said he saw Sudanese military airplanes bombing Moro tribe areas: “Heavy aerial bombardments around Moro tribe areas are going on for days, but I have no details about it. We live in the mountains and saw the planes flying above us and bombing those areas.”

Priest Matta complains about the worsening humanitarian situation people from the Nuba Mountains are subjected to. He accuses the international community and concerned authorities of not fulfilling their duties, citing lack of food and medicine as examples. High prices are also an issue, as a bag of dura reached 900 Sudanese pounds.

Matta added the international community, rights groups and humanitarian organizations only speak about the famine in Nuba Mountains when news about it appears in the media, but they do not do any work on the ground.
