At least four members of a Sudanese family were killed in an airstrike on Benghazi town in neighbouring Libya on Friday, a relative of the family said.
The family member identified the victims as Safa Mansour Mohammed al Tahir and her husband together with their two children.
For its part, Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the killing of its nationals in Benghazi town. The ministry accused one of the warring parties in Libya of using Sudanese nationals as human shields in combating the airstrike.
At least five Sudanese citizens have been reported killed so far while several others are still under siege.
