The Sudanese embassy in Juba announced on Tuesday that it will continue to issue entry visa for South Sudanese nationals seeking to leave their country following the outbreak of conflict in Juba recently.

Osama Ahmed, deputy charge d’affaires at the Sudanese embassy in Juba, told Radio Tamazuj that they didn’t stop issuing visas for South Sudanese citizens who want to travel to Sudan.

He pointed out that the embassy is overcrowded with many Sudanese nationals for evacuation and an unexpected number of people from South Sudan who want to apply for visas to Sudan.

“Those who are still coming to the embassy are Sudanese nationals and South Sudanese in big numbers which exceeded the expected number” said Ahmed.

The Sudanese diplomat called on the South Sudanese nationals who want to apply for a visa to come to the embassy with their passports that are valid.

“Anyone who wants to apply for a visa should come with his passport valid for at least for six month” he said.
