Khartoum Defence Minister Abdul Rahim Mohamed Hussein met with the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General for Sudan and South Sudan Haile Menkerios to discuss the progress of implementing cooperation agreements between the two nations.

Abdul Rahim Mohamed Hussein underlined the importance of determining the Zero Line for demarcating borders between the Sudan and South Sudan, Sudan Vision reported.

He also reportedly told the UN envoy that Sudan is seeking to narrow the differences between the South Sudanese warring parties to achieve peace and stability. 

For his part, the envoy of the UN Secretary General appreciated efforts exerted by Sudan towards peace and stability, adding that he supports dialogue between Sudan and South Sudan.
