Sudanese citizens complain of looting by Rapid Support Forces in Damazin

Many citizens and traders in Sudan’s Blue Nile state complain of looting by Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Sources told Radio Tamazuj that Rapid Support Forces are looting goods from traders and entering petrol stations and taking fuel without paying for it, while they harassed and beat girls who they say are not dressing well.

A trader who preferred not to be named told Radio Tamazuj that members from the force took his goods and told him to go and get his money from President Omer al-Bashir.

Government has continued to deploy more RSF troops to Damazin town during the past days.

Separately, the government of Blue Nile state announced their participation in a border forum in Asosa area on Tuesday between Sudan and Ethiopia to secure the border line between Blue Nile and Benishangul region.

According to Sudan Media Center, the spokesman of Blue Nile state government said a delegation led by the governor and a number of ministers and representatives from police and army will visit Ethiopia to participate in this forum.
