The authorities in Northern Bahr al Ghazal in South Sudan have accused Sudanese authorities of trying to arm the Rizeigat to fight against South Sudan.

Kwal Koi, the commissioner of Aweil in Northern Bahr al Ghazal told Radio Tamazuj that the Sudanese government is desperately trying to mobilise the Rizeigat who are refusing to go to war.

The Dinka Malwal and the Rizeigat based in East Darfur signed an agreement for peaceful coexistence as the Rizeigat are a nomadic group, seasonally crossing the border to search for pasture for their livestock.
