'Sudanese army is recruiting young men in Al Muglad'

A source told Radio Tamazuj the Sudanese army is recruiting young men in Al Muglad as part of their preperations to expand war against South Sudan.

He said the Sudanese government made 7000 guns, motorbikes and an unknown sum of money available to convince young men of joining the army.

Omar Matar Bashari, one of the leaders of the Misseriya tribe, confirmed to Radio Tamazuj the Sudanese army is preparing for war and are therefore recruiting young men from Al Muglad.

He called on his people to stay away from the governments incentives to fight in a war. The Misseriyan leader said young men should not join the army in the regime’s interest: ‘our young men should not be enticed with guns or money’.
