The Sudan Armed Forces Air Force launched multiple attacks on different locations inside and outside the Al Jazeera State capital Wad Madani last week.
Explosions were heard from long distances but the scale of destruction, losses and casualty figures were not disclosed due to the lack of medical care in the city.
The Wad Madani Resistance Committees of Wad Madani revealed in a press statement that the areas south of the city had been subjected to heavy shelling by military aircraft for two days in addition to major incursions by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in several locations in the south of the Al-Jazeera State.
According to the committees, the continued aerial bombardment has led to the destruction of communication and other vital infrastructure. They warned of the failure of the agricultural season, especially the wheat crop, as a result of violations by the RSF.
On a related note, the popular anti-war organization on Tuesday organized a protest rejecting the continuous aerial bombardment of Wad Madani by the army.
Osama Hassan, the spokesman for the popular anti-war organization, told Radio Tamazuj, on Thursday, “that the protest was in rejection of the unending war and the continued air strikes on civilian sites.”
He called on the Sudanese Air Force to stop their sorties on the homes of citizens who have not left their city.
