Sudanese Air Force bombings cause thousands to flee Blue Nile state

Thousands fled the villages of Mowgaf, Sonda and Bilamon after the Sudanese Air Force carried out bombings on June 8 and 9. The coordinator of refugees camps in the Blue Nile State Ali Ibrahim told Radio Dabanga that three children were injured during the attacks and many villages are now deserted.

The displaced people fled to the mountains, the city of Karakeer and even as far as the Ethiopian border where they are staying without shelter, food and a lack of drinking water.

The civil authorities in the Blue Nile state called on humanitarian organizations to intervene.
