Two detainees of the Sudan People’s Liberation Army-North (SPLA-N) were released from the federal Kober Prison in Khartoum, a source said Thursday.
One of the released told Radio Tamazuj that security agents and Kober prison management stopped them from travelling to Damazin after being released.
He denied involvement in politics and military operations in Blue Nile. “I fear detention again in Khartoum, so there are still fears that something might happen to me,” he said.
The two suspects were arrested following the outbreak of Blue Nil conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North in 2011.
