A criminal court in Khartoum yesterday postponed the final verdict in the case of Awadiya Ajabna, who was killed by a police officer outside her home on the ouskirts of Sudan’s capital last year.

Previously, the offender’s defense lawyers appealed the court’s decision which charged their client with premeditated murder under article 130 of the Sudanese penal code.

Awadiya was killed in the Dem residential area.

The victim’s brother Abdul-Aziz Ajabna told Radio Tamazuj Sunday that they were informed by investigators yesterday that the sitting was adjourned by the Supreme Court.

Abdul-Aziz said that they were perplexed by the move of the court.
