At least three people were reported killed and a soldier mysteriously died at a hospital in Damazin town in Sudan’s Blue Nile state last week.
Several local residents told Radio Tamazuj that the three people were victims of criminals at Al-Zahour, Ganis and Al Zubeir residential areas.
Residents complained about surging crime in the town, while accusing the local authorities of failing to control the situation. However, they confirmed that the police have started to conduct night patrols in an attempt to curb crime.
In a separate report, a soldier of the Sudanese Armed Forces is believed to have committed suicide after he was found dead at a hospital in Damazin, according to the same sources.
