Sudan security agents releases four opposition figures

Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) released four leaders from the opposition National Consensus Forces (NCF) after being detained for more than a month following calls by several activists to protest against the government decision to introduce austerity measures.

Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Services (NISS) released four leaders from the opposition National Consensus Forces (NCF) after being detained for more than a month following calls by several activists to protest against the government decision to introduce austerity measures.

Multiple sources in Khartoum told Radio Tamazuj that the security forces released the official spokesman of the opposition Sudanese Community Party Sadig Yusuf, leading member of the Sudanese Community Party Tariq Abel Majid, spokesman of the opposition Arab Ba’ath Party Mohamed Diaa Eddin and member of the Nasserist Party Munzir Abul Maali.

The released opposition leaders were not taken to court.
