A fuel shortage in Kadugli town of Sudan’s South Kordofan state has entered its sixth day.
The fuel shortage “is first of its kind to happen here,” said one citizen.
Because of the crisis, the price of food has more than doubled, and transportation tariffs have skyrocketed. Many in the town have been forced to walk to work.
Mohammed Zaid Awad, Sudan’s Minister of Petroleum said in press statement that a fuel supply has been secured.
