Sudan’s opposition Popular Congress Party (PCP) has agreed to participate in the government of national dialogue.
A source told Radio Tamazuj that the PCP party decided to participate in the government at all levels without reservation during a meeting chaired by its leader Ibrahim Al-Sanousi.
Reportedly, about 150 members of the party wrote a petition against the plan to participate in the government.
The party emerged from a split within the Salvation Front led by President Omar Al-Bashir in 1999, due to differences between its former leader Hassan al-Turabi and President Bashir.
