Sudan's new premier Abdalla Hamdok has issued a decree removing Director-General of the Radio and TV Corporation, Ismail Mohammed Ahmed Issawi, state news agency SUNA reported on Sunday.

The news agency said Prime Minister Hamdok appointed Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Buzai as Acting Director-General of the Sudan Radio and TV Corporation.

The removal of Mr. Issawi came days after complaints against the broadcasting corporation and the authors of the films of ‘Bats of Darkness’ and ‘Khartoum Wails’.

Radio Dabanga reported on Thursday that the Democratic Alliance of Lawyers filed a lawsuit against the Sudanese Radio and Television Corporation and the authors and directors of the two movies.

The two films were broadcasted in June and portray the demonstrators in front of the army general command as murderers and saboteurs.
