Sudan’s Council of Ministers has said that Tuesday, November 20 will be a public holiday across the country to mark Mawlid Al Nabi – the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.
Work will resume on Wednesday, November 21, announced the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers on Thursday.
According to the Sudan News Agency SUNA, the government extended its greetings to the people of Sudan on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday.
Mawlid al-Nabi al-Sharif is the observance of the birthday of Islamic prophet Muhammad which is commemorated in Rabi al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.
