Sudan’s Businessmen Federation to export 160 types of commodities to South Sudan

The Sudanese Businessmen Federation has affirmed its readiness to send approximately 100,000 trucks loaded with manufactured and non-manufactured commodities to South Sudan.

About 160 types of commodities are on the list of goods ready for export according to a source.

The secretary general of the Sudanese Businessmen Federation, Bakri Yousif, said he expects revenues to range between SDG1bn to SDG2bn.

He stressed the importance of utilizing the port in Kosti and the railway to transport these goods in an optimum way.

In press statements yesterday to the Khartoum-based Sudan Vision newspaper, the businessman explained that they are ready to get involved in investments in South Sudan and to reach agreements with South Sudanese counterparts.

“It is important to build smart partnerships between the two countries to realize the aspirations of businessmen in both countries,” he added.
