Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir intends to issue new decisions to promote efforts for creating an enabling environment to ensure success of a National Dialogue, the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) announced.
Following its meeting Monday, the NCP leadership office reiterated the government’s readiness to engage in talks with the rebels in South Kordofan and Blue Nile to achieve a permanent and comprehensive peace agreement.
NCP deputy chairman and presidential aide, Ibrahim Mahmud Hamid, said that the leadership office was reassured on the ongoing arrangements for the start of the national dialogue conference on 10 October.
He further said the leadership office endorsed decisions of the dialogue coordinating body also known as 7+7 committee with regard to the agenda and the opening session of the national dialogue conference.
