Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir will attend the summit of the Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa on Thursday, the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) reports.

The summit, to be attended by IGAD heads of state and government, is to try to tackle the ongoing civil war in South Sudan.
