Sudan opposition urges dialogue with SPLM-N

The head of the Sudanese National Alliance, Faruq Abu-Issa, yesterday called on the government of Sudan to enter into dialogue with the SPLM-N and urged them to stop shelling South Kordofan and Blue Nile states.

He called upon the government to stop killing civilians before pointing out that the SPLM-N have the same rights to share power or to stand for government as the ruling National Congress Party (NCP).

Similarly, the Sudanese Communist Party Secretary General, Mohammed Muktar Al-Khateb, also claimed that the NCP are leading the people of Sudan into further tension which threatens the sovereignty and well-being of the country.
