Sudan opposition alliance wants its detained leaders released

Sudanese opposition umbrella of the Sudanese National Consensus Force (NCF) has call on the Khartoum government to release its detained political leaders.

In early November, security officers arrested several opposition figures following the government decision to raise fuel and electricity price.

Wajdi Saleh Abdu, member of the National Consensus Forces (NCF), said that defense lawyers and families were stopped from visiting the detainees, saying all the detained political leaders are complaining about deteriorating health conditions and that they need urgent medical attention.

Saleh pointed out they support the call for civil disobedience by several activists on 19 December. He confirmed their endeavour to topple the current government.
