Activists in Sudan’s Sennar State have reported another influx of internally displaced people from Blue Nile amid a deteriorating humanitarian situation.
Several activists told Radio Tamazuj Tuesday that the new arrivals from Ingessina Mountains were hosted in Wad Al Nil, Sinja, and Sennar towns.
The forcibly displaced people are now living in remote and peripheral areas in those towns amid absence of humanitarian organizations operating in the area, according to the activists.
They pointed out that the state government refused to establish camps for the Blue Nile displaced people.
The locals called upon authorities to carry out a needs-assessment survey so organizations can provide humanitarian aid to the people before their situations deteriorate further.
